A HAMPSHIRE road has been closed after a hole opened up near a busy roundabout.
Quay Street in Fareham Town Centre is closed from the A32 roundabout towards the police station.
A Fareham Borough Council spokesman said the 18 inch hole was caused by a collapsed drain.
Hampshire County Council is aware of the problem and is currently looking at it.
Although traffic is being diverted away from Quay Street, pedestrians are still able to cross into Tesco.
