A village playground has been given a complete overhaul thanks to a community fundraising effort.
West Dean has celebrated the official opening of its new-look play area costing £14,000.
The village’s oldest resident, 98-year-old Kathleen Parsons, cut the ribbon to officially open the new West Dean Family Park at the recreation ground.
Around 50 children were at the opening ceremony and took part in an Easter egg hunt as well as enjoying playing on the new swings and the wooden train.
