IT was a show that reminded people of the perils of war.
But the production of War Horse at The Mayflower Theatre also helped to raise thousands for veterans and those still serving in today’s battlefields.
As thousands of theatregoers flocked to the theatre during the four weeks the show was in Southampton, staff at The Mayflower raised £2,190 for the Royal British Legion.
The money will help the charity continue supporting servicemen and women and their families with issues including bereavement, disability, finding employment and coping with financial stress.
