A SCHEME giving residents and visitors to a Hampshire town free on-road parking has been extended.
A parking scheme for Eastleigh town centre will now run until the end of May.
This means drivers can use free on-road pay and display parking in the High Street and Market Street between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
The scheme was developed by the council and Eastleigh Town Centre Partnership to help boost trade and encourage visitors to the town over Christmas.
Visitors can use 40 parking bays over the two roads for one hour’s free parking, saving them £1.30 by pressing for a free ticket.
Parking on these roads has proved to be very popular.
