CYCLISTS will be saddling up and taking on a 26-mile challenge on Sunday to raise cash for charity.
Bosses at Romsey’s Bishops Blaize pub are behind the 26-mile fundraiser for Romsey Opportunity Group, which caters for children with special needs.
About 20 riders are expected to take part in the event which starts from the Winchester Road-based pub at 11.30am, and the route will include the A3057 through Greatbridge, Michelmersh and Timsbury, Brook and King’s Somborne.
They will then head for Braishfield via the country lanes and then go on to Woodley, before heading back towards the Bishops Blaize.
The team will be stopping off at pubs enroute including the Dukes Head, the Malthouse, the Bear and Ragged Staff, John O’Gaunt, the Crown Inn, the Wheatsheaf and the Hunters Inn, shaking their collection buckets as they go.
When they arrive back at the Bishops Blaize at around 6pm, there will be a barbecue and live music waiting for them.
