A HAMPSHIRE woman who created a website to help families who lose their babies shortly after birth has been given an award at a prestigious ceremony in London today.
Charlotte Forder from Southampton was named Charitable Mum of the Year after scooping the top spot in a competition run by Tesco Magazine.
After losing her first baby seven years ago Charlotte, from Shirley, decided to set up the website Babyloss.com to offer support, advice and solace to parents who had been through similar tragedies.
Chancellor Gordon Brown's wife Sarah, who lost her first born daughter just ten days after the little girls birth, presented Charlotte with the award at the five-stay Waldorf Hilton earlier today.
Following the ceremony Charlotte, along with the other ten Mum of the Year winners, were then honoured with a private reception at 11 Downing Street.
