BUSINESSMAN Anastassios Delis was left for dead on a Southampton street and today lies in hospital in a coma.
He cannot breath for himself, he cannot communicate, and will spend the rest of his life needing 24-hour care.
Meanwhile, the former employee who lay in wait to attack the boss who had sacked him just days earlier, will spend little more than a year behind bars for his cowardly crime.
Tahir Karaj, 28, pictured above, was jailed for three years at Southampton Crown Court after pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm, which carries a maximum sentence of five years.
However, Karaj, an Albanian who faces deportation on his release, will only serve half that time in prison.
