A TEENAGER was kicked and abused in a homophobic attack at a Hampshire music festival.
An 18-year-old from Lymington was kicked and verbally abused by two men during the Festibelly event held in the town over the weekend.
The attack took place last Friday - the day the 48-hour festival began.
The victim is not thought to have been seriously hurt but police are trying to establish if the assault is linked to another incident that took place at Festibelly in the early hours of Saturday morning, when paint was squirted over one of the tents.
A police spokesman confirmed that officers had received reports of a homophobic attack.
He added three men had been arrested in connection with the other incident.
A 20-year-old from Dibden, a 19-year-old from Hythe and an 18-year-old from Totton had been detained on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
