SCHOOLBOYS with learning disabilities have been given a helping hand with their coursework thanks to a Fareham company that has donated four computers to their school.
Computer company Cobweb Solutions has given the laptops to St George's Catholic College for Boys in Bassett, Southampton, for use by youngsters with conditions including dyslexia and dyspraxia.
School headmaster David Letherby - who is pictured above with pupil David House, 15 - said the new machines will allow students to make better use of their time in class, as well as helping with coursework preparation.
"We are committed to supporting our pupils who require special educational assistance, and access to technology plays a large role in facilitating this," he said.
"Of course Students with dyslexia and dyspraxia greatly benefit from using the laptops, through being able to cut and paste their writing, rather than having to throw their work away and start again if they make a mistake. We always welcome opportunities to expand our resources and really benefit from companies like Cobweb, who can provide us with technology equipment."
Mark Adams, managing director at Cobweb, said the company is always looking for ways to help our local community.
