TEENAGERS living in a Hampshire village are set to be hit with an egg-buying ban as part of a police clampdown on yobbish behaviour.
Shops are being urged to sign up to an agreement that would prevent them from selling eggs to youngsters.
The idea is the brainchild of local police officers who have had to deal with complaints of egg-throwing youths causing damage in the community.
However, the ban - thought to be the first of its kind in the country - has been branded ridiculous by critics who say it will not necessarily stop the problem.
