THEY gritted their teeth and prepared for pain.
But a charity leg wax was certainly worth it for nine regulars at the Forrester Arms in Brockenhurst after they raised £1,300.
The hair-raising fundraiser was organised by Kate Wall, 60, of Brockenhurst, in memory of her daughter Sam, who died in an accident last year aged 34.
Kate said: “I took this idea to the guys and they just ran away with it and they were amazing.
“They all had a good time and two of them even took it further by agreeing to have an eyebrow waxed off if we could raise another £100 for each of them.
“So we went back into the pub and now there are two blokes walking around with one eyebrow each.
“But it was a lot of fun and everything that happened was in the spirit of the evening.”
The money was raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
