There was fast-paced and frantic action worthy of the Tour de France itself.
Thousands of people got on their bikes and headed to Winchester as part of the 2014 city CycleFest.
Cyclists riding mountain bikes, BMXs and more weaved their way in and out of pedestrians in The Broadway.
Among the excitement on offer was a mountain bike track, stunt displays and even a bike that made smoothies.
The CycleFest was organised by the city council in partnership with My Journey, Winchester Business Improvement District.
And after the festivities were over the serious business got under way with the 2014 Winchester Criterium.
Walkers were warned to stay out of the way as 300 riders raced through the closed off 1km city-centre course.
But there were plenty of other races for riders, with a family ride and corporate challenge added this year.
