A FESTIVAL of steam has raised thousands of pounds for charity.
More than 2,000 people turned out for the two-day Forest Fayre and Steam Rally at New Park, Brockenhurst, at the weekend.
Visitors inspected a variety of vintage vehicles, including miniature steam engines, tractors, cars and motorcycles.
Meanwhile there was fun for all the family with a children’s fun fair, a dog display, a native American show and a Victorian cooking display.
The money is still rolling in but so far the event has raised £10,000 for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Wessex Heartbeat charities, which organiser Joyce Harvey described as “absolutely fantastic”.
Joyce confirmed that the show would return to New Park at the same time next year.
