Adopted by Grannie Knott, Little Red Riding Hood leaves Squire Bullymore's orphanage to live in Grannie's cottage.
Loved by Peter the Woodcutter, missed by the other orphans, Little Red Riding Hood makes part of the hazardous journey to Grannie's cottage on her own, where she is almost eaten for supper by the Wicked Wolf. His every entrance was a performance; what a characterisation. Only a wolf could deliver Music of the Night as he did. Superb!
A high-energy cast sang, moved and danced well. What a capable young chorus too, delivering exceptional dancing and tuneful singing.
Tip for the night: crutches can damage your health!
This was a must-not-miss polished panto - a real peach - in a warmly welcoming village hall.
