Buttons (Matt Lock) held the audience in the palm of his hand from curtain-up to finale. With a warm singing voice, he also proved he could rap.
Fairy Godmother (Nicole Cummins) held court close to the audience; a laptop and a mobile phone proved useful aids when casting spells and Nicole treated us to a superb rendition of Oh So Quiet.
The absence of a stepmother in this particular version gave the Baron and his two stepdaughters much more opportunity to shine, which they did.
Congratulations to Westfield Productions wardrobe team, as I understand all the costumes were made in-house.
This is a great achievement as the production boasted a large cast .
In pulling all the strands of this well-loved story together, producer/director Mark Lock and his talented cast gave the audience a thoroughly entertaining panto.
