MOTORISTS are facing long delays after a car flipped onto its roof on a Hampshire motorway this morning.
A 22-year-old male driver lost control of his silver Vauxhall Corsa as he travelled between junction 9 at Whiteley and junction 10 at Fareham of the M27, which then ended up on its roof in the middle lane of the carriageway.
It is not thought any other car was involved.
The driver managed to escape the wreckage and was said to be conscious and able to walk.
The crash has caused long delays as traffic tries to pass the incident with two lanes blocked, which happened just after 8.30am.
Shortly afterwards, between junctions eight and nine, also on the westbound carriageway, a collision between two cars caused one to be catch alight.
A silver Jeep Cherokee caught fire in lane three.
Hampshrie firefighters headed to the scene using lane three of the eastbound carriageway to extinguish the blaze.
No-one was injured.
The road was fully reopened by 10.20am.
