Village councillors have started meetings to set up emergency flood plans.
It is to make sure those most at risk in Kings Worthy, near Winchester, are given adequate notice and help as needed.
The council will be asking all residents whose houses, gardens or garages were flooded earlier in the year to complete an Environment Agency questionnaire and send in photos.
It is hoped this will make sure Kings Worthy, particularly Springvale Road, becomes a priority area in case of any future flood threats.
Councillors are also pressing for maintenance of the current drainage system, and funding to improve it.
