AN inquest is due to open today into the death of a young woman whose body was found on a city shoreline.
The remains of the 24-year-old woman were discovered on the River Itchen shoreline at Hazel Road in the Woolston area of Southampton on Sunday.
A post mortem took place yesterday.
Police have not revealed her identity but confirmed the woman was not part of a missing person enquiry and has been identified.
Hampshire Coroner’s Office said an inquest into her death is likely to be opened this morning.
