FOOD glorious food – that’s Romsey Food Festival on Sunday, September 7, and it promises to be a crowd-puller.
The event starts at 10am and runs until 4pm and will include a children’s animal farm, market stalls and craft stalls, cookery demos, food tasting sessions and get fit activities, and the festival’s attractions will be spread out across the town centre.
This year’s festival will incorporate a Hampshire Farmers’ Market at the Alma Road car park between 10am and 2pm, with more than 30 stalls offering meat, eggs, cheese, cakes, wine, cider, bread, honey, jams and chutneys, pickles, fresh and smoked fish and fruit and vegetables.
Alex Handford, business manager at Hampshire Farmers’ Markets, said: “Our regular Romsey market attracts more than 3,500 visitors and we are hoping for a similar number of visitors or even more.”
