WORKERS at a Hampshire supermarket have played their part in a ‘Round the World Cycle Challenge’.
Staff at Morrisons in Spruce Drive, Totton, pedalled 223 miles on a static bike as part of a wider challenge.
It will see staff from all 112 of the company’s stores in the south-west cycle the equivalent of the 24,902 miles circumference of the globe to raise funds for Sue Ryder, which provides palliative, long-term and end of life care.
Totton Morrisons general manager Andy Wood said: “We call on all cycling fanatics to come down to the store, cheer on our colleagues and dig deep into their pockets.
“Together we will raise significant funds for Sue Ryder’s vital community care and support in our area.”
