TWO men have been charged in connection with an investigation into the death of an immigrant found in a container.
Stephen McLaughlin, 34, and Timothy Murphy, 33, both of Londonderry, have been charged with conspiring to facilitate illegal entry into the UK.
The men, who are both lorry drivers, have been detained by Essex Police to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
Singh Kapoor, 40, from Afghanistan, was found dead inside the container at Tilbury, Essex, on Saturday August 16.
Other members of the 34-strong group, including 13 children, survived the ordeal.
