A police appeal has been issued after a woman told how she was dragged into a car and assaulted,
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following the incident where a woman has reported that she was aattacked.
The 25-year-old has told police that she was followed by a black Peugeot car which was being driven by a man and had two male passengers inside.
She said two of the men got out and tried to get her in the car in Junction Road, Andover.
There was a scuffle and the woman was forced into the car and assaulted.
She then managed to get out and made her way home.
It is believed that two men and a woman, who were walking separately in the area at the time, could have information which could help this investigation.
DI Justin Torgout said: “Were you in the area between 5pm and 7pm? Did you see a black Peugeot car following a woman? Did you see anything unusual?
“This was an isolated incident, which is fortunately extremely rare in the Andover area.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact DI Torgout at Basingstoke CID on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
