A WINCHESTER dementia care home raised £670 to help a nearby community centre inspire families with arts and library activities.
Staff and families of residents living at Colten Care’s St Catherines View in Stanmore chose the Carroll Centre as their nominated charity for 2013.
The home staged a series of fundraising activities, including a summer fete, and invited visitors to make donations.
Jool Heller-Dixon, head of the Carroll Centre, said: “This is a prime example of two organisations in the same community working in partnership to support others.
“Many of the people we work with come from vulnerable families and as part of our help for them it is lovely to be able to share the joy you can find from artwork and reading books.”
