THOUSANDS of residents got their tastebuds tingling as a Hampshire event themed entirely around chilli returned for a second year.
More than 3,000 people visited Leigh Road Recreation Ground in Eastleigh for the Chilli Festival, some of whom were brave enough to take on the ultimate chilli eating challenge.
This contest at the bandstand saw ten willing volunteers taste different chillis, from the milder bullet chilli up to the fiery scorpion chilli.
