A MAN was attacked and robbed after leaving a city pub.
The 64-year-old victim was walking under a railway bridge in Sea Road, Southampton, after leaving the Yacht Tavern when he was approached from behind by a man in a grey hoodie.
The offender accosted him and took his wallet and bank cards, leaving the victim with a possible broken finger and cuts.
Police are appealing for witnesses and detective constable Martin Brewer said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the Sea Road area and may have seen someone running from the area, or acting suspiciously, to come forward and speak to us. I would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man wearing a grey hooded top in the area, around the time of the attack.”
Anyone with information should contact DC Brewer at Shirley CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
