Piglet racing will be among the attractions at Hampshire Farmers' Market in Winchester later this month.
HFM business manager Alex Handford, said: “The piglet racing event was such a huge success last year enjoyed by all, especially the children, that we decided to run it again. It is a great opportunity for us to celebrate the award-winning food that the Hampshire Farmers’ Market brings to Winchester at our fortnightly markets and to give visitors a fun day out for all the family.”
There will be pig-themed competitions and pork producers can be found in the HFM Taster Unit, cooking a variety of pork sausages with the chance to vote for the Best Hampshire Sausage.
The event, on September 28, will be the centre piece of the HFM’s celebrations within the British Food Fortnight, which runs from September 20 until October 5.
