Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage has raised concerns over delays in financial help for people coping with a disability or ill health.
The MP spoke of the issue of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) application reviews during questions to the Department for Work and Pensions.
PIP helps with some of the extra costs faced by those living with disability or long-term ill health.
Caroline told the department that some of her constituents had faced lengthy delays waiting for a decision leading to “uncertainty and stress” and asked what steps were being taken to speed up the process.
Responding on behalf of the Government, Minister of State for Disabled People, Mark Harper MP said action was being taken so decisions could be made in a timely way.
