AS thousands of revellers head across the water to the Isle of Wight’s Bestival, organisers have confirmed tickets have now sold out.
This will be the 10th year in a row that one of the south’s biggest music festivals has been a sell out.
Legendary Lo-fi rocker Beck is starring on the opening night at Robin Hill Country Park.
Tomorrow will be the first full day of action with an exclusive headline set from hip hop kings Outkast after Disclosure, Sam Smith and Laura Mvula and others take to the stage.
This year’s Bestival theme is “desert island disco”, with revellers grabbing their funkiest flairs and platform shoes. It is hoped that event will break the official Guinness World Record for the Largest Disco Ball.
Saturday’s headliners are Foals, before disco kings Chic, featuring Nile Rodgers.
Other acts include Basement Jaxx, Paloma Faith, London Grammar, Major Lazer, Chvrches and Chase and Status.
While all tickets have now sold out, there may be a small number of returns available from Ticketline, please check bit.ly/1pNkScY.
And to combat ticket touts, Bestival will have an extra handful of tickets available at the Robin Hill box office across the weekend.
A spokesman said: “Our message is ‘Don’t trust a tout’ We have a new anti-touting team in action at ferry ports as well as at Robin Hill, who will be performing spot checks on tickets - we don’t want to see any potential Bestivalgoers upset by being denied entry, so check in for any official returns if you want to get shipwrecked with us this weekend.”
