A BUDDING Hampshire table tennis player is competing at the highest level at a tournament in Manchester.
Fifteen-year-old Letitia McMullan, from Fareham, is competing at the Sainsbury’s 2014 School Games, which started yesterday and ends on Sunday.
This is a multi-sport event for young athletes and Letitia will be part of a team representing the south west.
Previous competitiors at the School Games have included high-jumper Katarina Johnson-Thompson and paralympic swimming gold medallist, Ellie Symonds.
Letitia said: “Last year we were runners-up and this year we would like to go one better.”
