THE GRIEVING FAMILY OF Pennie Davis have today visited the scene where she was brutally murdered.
A group which included her husband Pete, all five of her children and her parents spent about half and hour at the spot in Beaulieu where tributes have been laid for the 47- year-old.
The emotional visit saw the family lay their own flowers, but they did not go to the spot where Pennie's body was discovered.
Pete left flowers with a card that read: "Angel, all my love, always and forever Pete."
One of her daughters, Georga, left a message which read: "Dearest mum, you were a goddess an angel I swear I'll make you proud.
"I like to think you're sitting there, watching on a cloud. You had so much more to give. You had so much more to do.
"But now I'll be your legacy I'll do it all for you. You climbed the highest mountains, you walked the longest paths, you'll never be forgotten. Forever in our hearts. I love you to the moon and back, Georga."
Her son, Josef, wrote: "I know I didn't always show it but somehow you always knew. I know I wasn't the easiest child but you were always there. Sadly you're gone, you'll always be missed. There's a hole in my heart that can't be filled but never forget I love you mum."
Her mum wrote a card saying " all my love always mum."
Her dad wrote: "To Pennie, love you forever, Dad."
And her son Alex wrote: "I don't know how to put into words how I feel, all I know is I didn't always show my appreciation but I'm thankful for everything you have done for me and being there for me and it's unfair that someone has taken you away from me.
"You will be missed by many and you kept this family together even now you have brought everyone together to help me through this. Lots of love, your son Alex."
Pennie's daughter Sophie wrote: "Words cannot express how I feel you will always be our beautiful angel. I love you so much mum you will never be forgotten."
Another card read: "Not been part of the family long but you made us all feel welcome, you were so caring. Rest in peace, love Meg and family."
Pete's parents left a card which read: "We will always be with you Pennie, lots of love, hugs you're new mum and dad."
Her sister, Nicola, wrote: "You were a light in my life. We survived so much heartache and trouble through our lives together we got through it and stayed close and loved each other largely because of you - you were always open hearted and caring and never let go of me.
"Now I can't bear to let go of you my precious sister, part of me dies with you. I can only treasure our memories. Love forever Nicola."
One of the young girls was crying, while others hugged and pointed to the field where Pete found his wife stabbed to death.
They didn't want to speak to anyone else and headed back in several cars with their police liaison officers.
Officers have also started to search the stream at the back of the field by Ley Green Farm, in a bid to find the murder weapon.
The specialist team of around ten, wearing orange boiler-style suits have been in the water for a few hours.
While police dog units are scouring a field nearby in the hope to find that vital clue which will lead them to the murderer.
Forensic officers are still in the field where Pennie was found on Tuesday taking photographs of the scene and police in black uniform are continuing their fingertip search in the same area.
