NEW plans for the £150m Silver Hill scheme in Winchester will be on display at the Guildhall all week from Monday.
The exhibition will open Monday and Tuesday 11am-7pm, Wednesday-Friday 10am-7pm, and Saturday, 10am-1pm.
It will be staffed from 1pm-7pm Monday to Friday and 10am-1pm on Saturday.
The scheme already has planning permission and compulsory purchase orders in place. The display explains proposed changes such as the increase in shop space, the dropping of affordable housing and the new bus station.
The exhibition includes detailed planning drawings and shows examples of the materials that will be used such as flint, types of brick, paving and green oak.
Panels tell the story of the planning application process and describe the extent of the proposed scheme and how the design complements the city.
There are specific panels covering subjects such as the height and mass of buildings, buses and access, archaeology and ecology, and finance.
Winchester City Council leader Cllr Rob Humby, pictured, said: “I urge everyone who is interested in this major development for our city to visit the exhibition and see the latest plans.
“People will see that the developers and architects have made significant improvements to the scheme in the light of comments they have received.”
A planning application for the changes to the consented scheme will be considered by the council in November.
