EIGHT things that would change if Scotland becomes independent:
- Team GB will plunge down the medal table at major sporting events - 14 Scottish athletes won medals at London 2012.
- British interest in Wimbledon would be reduced. Scot Andy Murray is our only top 100 male tennis player.
- The price of Scotch whisky and other favourite cottish foods such as smoked salmon and Aberdeen Angus beef could go up as it would be an imported product.
- The Union Jack would have to change, without the blue and white of the Scottish saltire.
- Sterling notes could also change with famous Scots Adam Smith and James Watt removed.
- People would have to use a new international dialling code, possibly +422, to phone relatives or friends in Scotland.
- The price of sending a letter or parcel to a newly-independent Scotland would also increase.
- The UK's Trident nuclear weapons could be moved from Scotland, with Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire, Devonport near Plymouth, Falmouth and Cumbria potential new homes.
