A MAN aged 22 arrested in connection with the murder of Pennie Davis in the New Forest were last night still being questioned by police.
Officers were granted another 24 hours to continue to quiz the suspect, police revealed last night.
A 24-year-old woman also remained in custody last night on suspicion of perverting the course of justice while a 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed until October 23.
Pennie, 47, was found by her husband, Pete, in a field at Leygreen Farm, Beaulieu on Tuesday.
The supermarket worker, from Blackfield, died of multiple stab wounds a post mortem found.
Hampshire police revealed on Saturday that they had arrested three people.
Specialist forensics officers have made fingertip searches of the field and a nearby stretch of the Beaulieu River while police have also increased patrols in the area to offer reassurance to residents.
Pennie was widely known by her former surname Lambert before she married Pete, her fifth husband, in May.
She was a former employee at the Daily Echo where she worked as a business development representative at the paper from 2010 to 2011.
Pete, Pennie's children and her parents have made an emotional visit to the paddock since the killing, leaving flowers with messages from each member of the family.
