THE world record for the largest disco ball has been broken at Bestival on the Isle of Wight.
The 10-metre diameter mirrorball was hoisted up into the air by a huge crane as Chic took to the main stage at Robin Hill Country Park for the final headline show.
Bright lights shone off the ball, turning the festival site into a huge outdoor disco hall.
Bestival tweeted: ''It's official!!! We now hold the Guinness World Record for the biggest Disco Ball in the world!!!''
Earlier, Major Lazer climbed into a Zorb ball and rode on top of the crowd during his main stage set.
DJ Yoda also played the main stage this afternoon, taking Busta Rhymes' slot after the rapper pulled out at the last minute because of changes to his European tour schedule.
