Netley Marsh-based charity Tools for Self Reliance has issued a plea for unwanted arc welders to help them complete their next African shipment.
Welding is a key trade that the charity supports. However, arc welders are rarely donated, say TFSR.
The charity can only accept “stick type” arc welders (not MIG or TIG) with a minimum 140 amp.
The workshop at Netley Marsh is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and donations can be made throughout the day.
The charity has a number of volunteer collectors – call 023 8086 9697 to find out your nearest one. More information is also available at tfsr.org.
