A BOLT of lightning struck a Hampshire block of flats in the early hours of this morning leading to three people being treated by the emergency services.
One man in his late 30s was treated for smoke inhalation along with two others when the lightning hit the flats in Station Road, Park Gate at 1.20am and led to a small fire in the roof.
Residents were evacuated from the building while 16 fire fighters from Hightown, Fareham and a specialist crew from St Mary's were despatched to the scene.
All three casualties were treated at the scene and did not require further hospital treatment.
A spokesman from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said there was “very little” damage from the fire.
