Elgar event
A GROUP which celebrates the work of Edward Elgar will be holding an event in Winchester next week.
Broadcaster and reviewer Ian Lace will host an illustrated talk by the southern branch of the Elgar Society, on Saturday, October 25.
Entitled Elgar and Delius – Triumphs and Tragedies, Ian will explain the many different sides of the composers’ characters and demonstrate how much they had in common.
The meeting will be held at Winchester Guildhall, at 1.30pm.
