IN 2005 Susan Gunn’s life changed forever.
While pregnant with her son Jamie she found a lump, which turned out to be a rare form of bone cancer called sarcoma.
Now the Winchester mother-of-two wants to help other people diagnosed with life-changing diseases by offering comfort and support.
The 29-year-old is part of a project called Sent With Love, which stitches together blankets and posts them around the country to sufferers.
It all started from a Facebook page for people with sarcoma, and Susan hopes it will offer support to people going through difficult times.
“I had a bone removed from my leg and now have mobility issues and am in a wheelchair,” she said.
“When I was diagnosed it was very lonely. I had my friends and family but I had never met anyone else with sarcoma.”
People can nominate someone for a blanket on the group’s Facebook page, and others can donate squares which are stitched together to form the final piece.
