A sea of colour swept through Southampton as thousands of runners united for a flagship charity run.
More than 3,100 took their marks at Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre for the Run or Dye event.
The mass fun run, taking place in in 150 cities across the world, is takes its inspiration from the Hindu festival of Holi.
Participants were pelted with green, purple and red paint by volunteers as they ran, jogged or walked their way around the 5km course which set off at 10am.
People sported white running gear, brightly coloured tutus, wigs and sunglasses with others dressing up as storm troopers and tigers.
Maureen Mew, 65, from Chandlers Ford, ran in aid of the Philippine Charity Fund and said: "It's been excellent and great to see so many families getting involved.
"It makes you feel thirsty though as you get paint in your mouth!"
