A HAMPSHIRE organisation has donated £1,450 to a charity that supports families with disabled children.
The Blue Lamp Trust, which was established to promote and enhance community safety in Hampshire, made the donation to Fawley-based Parentlink.
The charity works with parents and their additional-needs children, offering activities, support, respite, advice and assistance in their everyday lives.
Meanwhile, the Blue Lamp Trust runs the Bobby Scheme, which provides home security and long-life smoke alarms for elderly people and victims of burglary.
Angharad Vaughan, community affairs adviser at ExoonMobil, which sponsors the Blue Lamp Trust, said: “ExxonMobil at Fawley is very proud to be working with the Blue Lamp Trust to support the very important work of the Bobby Scheme here in Hampshire.
“We are delighted that Blue Lamp Trust are able to make such a worthy donation to Parentlink.
“It is an excellent local support organisation that fully deserves this grant.”
Beau Fisk, business manager of the Blue Lamp Trust, said: “We are delighted to support this worthwhile charity that provides help as assistance for so many local families.”
