VILLAGERS will have another chance to see plans for up to 50 new homes in Kings Worthy.
Following a hostile public meeting with developer Drew Smith, the city council will show proposals for a development off Lovedon Lane.
Villagers say they fear that it would take space from recreation ground Eversley Park.
Parish council chairman Stewart Newell said: “The parish council would not have supported any scheme which adversely affected the excellent sporting and fitness facilities that exist there.”
He said that the public consultation on November 10 would show “no reduction in the facilities available at Eversley Park”.
The parish council supported building off Lovedon Lane earlier this year but Drew Smith wants to build on land off Hookpit Farm Lane, known as ‘Top Field’. There has been strong opposition from nearby residents who say that they don’t want any homes there.
It comes as part of Winchester City Council’s Local Plan Part Two, which requires 250 homes to be built in Kings Worthy by 2031.
The exhibition runs from 3pm until 7pm, at Tubbs Hall, Fraser Road.
