POLICE on the Isle of Wight have named the teenage girl who was killed in a head-on car crash.
Sixteen-year-old Pascha Burgoyne died after the Volkswagen Polo she was travelling in collided with a BMW at Boulder, in Yarmouth.
The teenager, a front seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics following the accident at about 7.50pm on Friday.
The driver of the green Polo, a 21-year-old man from the Isle of Wight, was taken to St Mary's hospital and is currently in a stable condition.
Police have said the Polo was travelling from Newport towards Yarmouth when it collided with the oncoming black BMW.
The driver of the BMW, a 44-year-old man, also from the Isle of Wight, was uninjured.
