DETECTING early eye disease can now be done at the click of a button following the arrival of a special scanner at a town’s opticians.
The new OCT eye scanner at Ashleigh Sight Care is thought to be the first in Romsey. It is useful for screening people who have a family history of eye disease such as Glaucoma, diabetes and Macular degeneration.
Southampton MP Caroline Nokes was among the first to pop in and try it out at the Church Street practice.
