HAMPSHIRE'S very own strictly ballroom DJ is just hours away from finding out whether he has made it through to dance another day.
Scott Mills will learn his fate on the BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Result Show tonight after entertaining crowds with a Charleston routine yesterday.
The odds are stacked against him at 4/7 as the bookies favourite to leave the show having been described last week as dancing "like a banshee".
And in a further blow last night Scott, whose dad Pete was watching proudly in the audience, was told by judge Bruno Tonioli that he could be the potential ''love child'' of Ann Widdecombe and John Sergeant.
The radio DJ originally from Eastleigh scored 19 out of 40 for his dance with partner Joanne Clifton and Craig Revel-Horwood said he thought a three-year-old could have done it better.
But the judges agreed it was an enjoyable watch and Scott's character shone through.
Now he is hoping the support of musicians like the world-famous boyband One Direction and singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will see him through to dance next weekend for Halloween Week.
Cheryl, who is also a judge on ITV show The X Factor, told Scott to ignore the judges' comments.
Before taking to the dance floor last night, he said: ''Cheryl wished me the best of luck and told me to go out there, do my best and don't listen to Craig - I asked her to give a message to the judges to not be mean to me.''
