THE CLOCKS have gone back and the evenings are darker.
But that is no reason to pull out the coats and woolly jumpers yet.
Today the weather in Southampton is set to reach highs of 18 degrees with plenty of sunshine - just in time for the school half term.
It will be a fine and dry day across the city with long spells of sun and near the coast there may be a slight breeze but nothing to stop the children taking a dip.
And the temperature is set to stay around the 18 degree mark for the rest of the week, ideal for parents out on trick or treating duty this Friday.
The weather is 3 degrees above average according to the Met Office and it's due to a south westerly air flow bringing in warmer weather from the Atlantic Ocean.
It's set to be a warm evening tonight as well with temperatures reaching 14 degrees and tomorrow there will be a bit of cloud around but still warm temperatures perfect for getting the kids outside.
By Wednesday morning there will be some light rain approaching but still highs of 18 degrees, so today is a chance to make the most of the sunshine outdoors.
