A HAMPSHIRE property maintenance firm is now also looking after the planet following the introduction of a new fuel-efficient fleet.
Netley-based Refix Facilities Management, which serves the commercial, industrial and retail sectors, has introduced three Mercedes Citan vans, which boast more than 600 miles per tank of diesel.
Refix already employs vehicle tracking across its fleet, which uses Master-naut’s GreenerFleet technology, aimed at reducing unnecessary miles and allowing the firm to more accurately and promptly manage despatch of engineers to their clients’ sites.
And earlier this year the company introduced the first of a series of BMW i3 electric-powered vehicles.
Operations director Tom Docherty said: “We felt that by trying to be even more economical with our fleet we could pass on savings to our clients.”
