Resdients registered with Switch Hampshire – the collective energy switching service which aims to help the planet and lower household bills for gas and electricity – have saved £220 per house, according to a report.
Since last year the county council has been working with other local authorities across Hampshire on the one-off scheme – which has now closed – which offered people the potential to get their gas and/or electricity at cheaper rates through switching collectively rather than if they bought either service as an individual customer.
The total saving for residents in Hampshire taking part was £216,445.
