Passengers using a cross-Solent ferry service have been hit by half-term travel chaos after one of the vessels broke down.
Large queues built up at Wightlink's Lymington terminal after Wight Sky developed a mechanical fault, resulting in the service to Yarmouth being suspended for more than three hours.
The fault prevented two other vessels from using the single berth.
Passengers were advised to use Wightlink's other cross Solent service from Portsmouth to Yarmouth, which meant a long diversion.
Shortly after 2.15pm it was announced that a single vessel service from Lymington was about resume.
Passengers have begun boarding but the delays are expected to take some clear to clear.
Wightlink has apologised for the delay.
Wightlink said more information is available at bit.ly/WLtravel
