MOTORISTS on one of Hampshire's busiest roads are experiencing major delays because of an overturned vehicle.

All lanes on the eastbound carriageway on the A31 are blocked due to the accident near Picket Post.

Police say that 'several' cars were involved in the crash, including a Nissan Qashqai which was found on its side and a Fiat which was damaged.

Police say that there are no reports of any serious injuries and traffic is currently backed up to the A338 near Ringwood.

It is not yet known how long the carriageway will be blocked for.
