A MUCH-LOVED family cat has gone missing in the New Forest and a £1,000 reward is being offered for his return.
Black and white house cat Oliver sneaked out through a slightly-opened kitchen window in Brook Avenue North, New Milton, on Sunday.
Brian and Wendy Lewis took him into their home 14 months ago after he was rescued by the RSPCA.
Mr Lewis said: “It’s taken us about 13 months to integrate him and he’s now a much-loved member of the family.
“He’s a house cat so he’s going to be terrified and probably hungry.”
The couple are asking nearby residents to check their sheds and garages to see if Oliver might be hiding.
Anyone who sees the cat is asked not to approach him but to call Mr and Mrs Lewis on 01425 621453 or email wlb86@btinternet.com.
